Our excursion to the wild west and the Badlands has been a dream since I was a young child sitting in front of our TV screen and imagining that I was out there in the frontier being a courageous pioneer. With the help of a tourists map, I have outlined an adventure trail that includes a three day stay at a dude ranch. That may be as close as I can get to the original cattle farmer days. There are historic places to visit as well, and my children are thrilled to be visiting a place so different from the city in which they have grown up. This will be a wonderful experience for all of us.
