I haven’t been in the human resources department at our company very long; so my knowledge of the various systems and protocols is somewhat limited. (Although I still must learn them).

What I do know, however, is the hiring process (at least at my company) is a well-oiled machine.

The initial job posting, whether internal or external, will go out far in advance of when the actual position is needed.

This is so the field of applicants can be narrowed down as tightly as possible.

The recruiting software we use is a PC recruiter package that has some of the best applicant tracking capabilities I’ve ever seen.
