As part of my role as an HR manager for a largish firm in the house alarm industry I’m often required to do a criminal background search on any prospective employee that we are considering hiring. Now in the past, this procedure used to be quite painful as I had to employ a 3rd party to do the search and pay a fee each time. But  I’m pleased to say these days that the whole process is much easier. There are now any number of good online resources that allow me to do a free criminal background search at any time of my choosing – and not just criminal background searches either.
