Cast iron are another type of kettle

February 15th, 2010 . by admin

A copper pink tea kettle will actually last you longer if you do not place it over a high heat, in actual fact this is one thing you should not do with it. Those who have a lacquered kettle can maintain the polished look by using cleaning materials that are not abrasive to copper. Cast iron are another type of kettle these are a lot heavier and thicker unfortunately rust can eventually damage the kettle, if it was possible to stop this then they could probably be one of the most durable too. Although when boiling water in this type of kettle overtime, a protective layer of minerals build up on the base. It is thanks to this that they tend not to rust as quick.
