The heart burn and regurgitation were the worst that I experienced and it was definitely effecting the quality of my life. When I learned some steps to avoid symptom flare ups, I was skeptical that they would even work. The main step was to avoid dairy, citrus, peppermint, and spicy food. It turned out that avoiding these foods actually made my symptoms nearly disappear. I simply try to avoid the foods that cause symptom flares and it is rare that I experience symptoms anymore.
