While I still has to see money clips made of pure gold, there are some plated with gold or accented in part by gold. The plated ones look great and elegant, as gold always never fails to enchant and attract attention. But it is the accented ones that really takes the cake. Gold combined with a white metallic element is always exquisite, and the two-tone combination is elegant and stylish. For example, I saw a stainless steel money clip accented with 18kt gold rivets and through the accent are small, they nonetheless give the piece more depth and character unlike if the rivets are similarly colored.
